Rose-tinted (2022) is a series of digital images that seeks to evoke a nostalgic, often idyllic representation of the past. For this body of work, Paula has turned the tables on the ease of which camera phone filters are used to create something more tangible and thought provoking. Her process involves photographing through red voile material which has been stretched onto a wooden frame.

Having spent 20 years in news photography, Paula Davies is now studying for a BA in Photography with the OCA. Based in North Devon, she is currently making work that explores the environmental impacts of man on our ever-changing landscape.
